Author & Provocateur

Biography

He was, next to Jospehine Green, the most inspiring speaker at the Peter Drucker Forum 2010 in Vienna - he left only open doors without any concrete view or opinion to cling to, except for the rather dark colours he painted, and I guess it was exactly that which left a sustainable impression: when you start thinking on your own, that's when the new starts to grow.

Facebook & Co are destroying our culture, make from individuals narcistic by-standers and are the clear evolution of our marketing-world: everybody is his/her own brand and as eveybody wants to be one, in the end nobody is one.

Does Social Media really contribute to the democratization of mankind? The events in Afrika seem to support this conclusion - but are the masses which made the old regimes collapse also educated enough in order to constructively build an e-volution upon the re-volution? Or are they simple victims of professional PR-people and lobbyists who use the Social Web for their own aims. Manipulation of the masses.

Keen has questioned that already in his 2007 book "The Cult of the Amateur. How the Internet is killing our culture". In the age of unlimited possibilities clear answers are still missing. And so it is even more important to expose oneself and our institutions regularly to critical voices like Keen - in order to keep the awareness of what is going on alert.
