Biography
How many people do you know of whome you are able to say "Incredible how far he/she has come and nevertheless he/she is still the same. Success has never changed her/him." I know few and Dr. Ernst Balla is one of them.
If you ask him for is major steps in life he names three:
- having the chance to set up a new management development system within a 40.000 people company
- learning how to decode motivation
- finishing the Ironman-Triathlon
The driving force behind those three is the unappeasable thirst to break his personal limits of knowledge and physical perseverance.
Dr. Ernst Balla gained his promotion in economic sciences and knowledge management and started his career as IT/Internet-expert and - trainer for ten years before accepting the lead of a 2,5 years project for the Hospital Holding of Lower Austria with its 27 individual hospitals and 18.500 employees.
2008 he moved back to his home-town Linz, taking the position of strategic personnel development in the Corporate HR department of the voest alpine AG. Here he focusses on the development of international high performance teams.
Balla also teaches comunication and team development at the FH Linz.
Dr. Balla adapts his speaking style to the target and the audience, but his concern always is to break down the theoretical and scientifical information into concrete examples. This makes his presentations and speeches lively and inspiring and leaves the audience with some important pieces of knowledge and insight, which are directly transferable to their daily lives.
The change he wants to achieve with his speaking? "Life isn't always that easy like in a motivational speech - what I want to do is to change people's minds towards appreciation and understanding of what's going on in order to improve their relationships and to help them facing their challenges. I want my auditorium (and all people around me) to have a good time while learing new things and making the next step in their personal development."
