Biography
I have met Noa Lerner for the first time at the Globart Academy in Pernegg in 2010 and was fascinated - so clear, so simple, so direct and so "full of purpose". As somebody who deals with "charismatic speaking" and "leadership through speaking" professionally I was once more stunned by the confirmation of this one simple fact: a person who is deeply inspired by something is also able to inspire others, to reach out and "touch" them with words - disregarding of HOW they are speaking and presenting themselves and in which environment they act. We hear, we see, we feel... THE ESSENCE.
Reduction to the essence. Good design is the best possible expression of this essence and the connected story.
Noa Lerner has dedicated herself to "Meaningful Design" and thus "design with a story". Having grown up in Tel Aviv she has switchd from Script-Writing to Industrial Design in order to bridge the gap between words and their physical manifestation. 2007 she won the Karl-Hofer-Award for "Essential Luxury", 2009 her mini-MP3-PLayer "Music Drop", which lets just one single song flow into yourear for that one special single moment, got on the second place of the most promising new developments of the "Music Ally/ MidemNet New Business Showcase".
The project though which has brought about the most far-reaching changes is "x-runner", mobile toilets for the "Untouchables" of India, a perfect example of a "Social Business Model."
