Biography
Selma Prodanovic, the first CNO – Chief Networking Officer – worldwide is considered a most distinguished expert in the networking-community and has been awarded the „2006 Woman Award" for her innovative business ideas.
Selma was born in Sarajevo, has lived in many, different cultures and countries, has been educated in 4 different educational systems, and fluently speaks and lectures in 5 languages. She is a specialist for networking and strategic marketing, following 15 years of business experience in New Business Development with top marketing firms in Central-, Eastern and South Eastern Europe. In 2003, Selma founded Brainswork, a boutique business development firm assisting clients in developing their recognizable identities and sustainable business models world-wide.
Selma advises not only to customers from diverse branches of business, but is in charge of various international networks, like the EuropeanPWN (12 European countries), the Comdao Institute for Networking in Austria, INiTS University Startup Service (Austria), CNO Partners (USA), and Net-Bridges (Brazil).
This creative businesswoman is a demanded speaker at international events and an internationally published author on the importance and relevance of networking and its positive effects with regard to businesses, innovation and diversity. Her book "Networking & Beyond" will be available by the end of 2007.
Her success story was published amongst those of Austria´s leading women, in a book titled "Den eigenen Weg gehen". As such, Selma has contributed to the compilation of "Frauenfakten: Netzwerke – Organisationen – Institutionen", with a chapter about professional development of networking concepts by and for women.
As a passionate networking expert, Selma sees networking as an important tool for sustainable development and she places a major responsibility on knowledge transfers benefiting each party involved and, above all the most disadvantaged areas in the world.
