Biography
Selma Prodanovic is the founder of Brainswork, the boutique business development consultancy based in Vienna. Selma has more than twenty years of professional experience in new business development, creative industries and international marketing in Europe and beyond. She is known as the "discoverer and connector" of human and business potentials. Selma is an internationally respected expert in the networking community, has authored texts and lectured on networking, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation at numerous universities and conferences around Europe. Selma has pioneered the concept of brainsworking – a strategy for sustainable business development based on the capacity to transfer knowledge from wide and diverse fields of experience.
Selma is the initiator and chairwoman of IncrediblEurope, the first bottom-up value-changer in and for Europe. It focuses on creative, innovative and entrepreneurial changemakers and the future they influence. She initiated, edited and published the "Brainsbook on Networking" written by 40 authors from fifteen countries in 2009.
An entrepreneur and passionate European by heart, Selma is convinced that every and each of us can make a positive difference. For her innovative approach to business and commitment to entrepreneurship and social change, Selma was awarded the "WOMAN Award" in 2006, the "MiA 2010" in the category Business and nominated "Networker of the Year" by the Austrian Leading Ladies in 2007 and 2010. Her success story was featured in a chapter of the book "Going Your Own Way" ('Den eigenen Weg gehen') alongside 18 selected Austrian businesswomen.
Educated at the University of Sarajevo, Saint Louis University in Madrid and the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, Selma speaks five languages fluently. She is married to her first love and proud mother of two.
